My name is Daniel Costello, and I am a senior studying Computer Science at DePaul University. This portfolio is part of IT 320: Content Management Systems. In this course I am learning to design, deploy, and customize WordPress sites on shared hosting.
About Daniel Costello:
This site showcases my progress with web hosting, CMS development, and data-driven design for real projects. I also show how to configure themes, use plugins, and maintain a secure shared hosting environment.
So far, I have used…
- WordPress 6.x
- PHP 8.x
- MySQL
- cPanel File Manager
- LiteSpeed Cache & Loginizer for optimization and security
Beyond this course, I work in DePaul’s IS Department as a Technical Deployment Assistant. I build and support projects that use Java, Python, and data systems. I also work as a freelance software developer for a medium-sized data management company. My long-term goal is to combine front-end design with back-end logic. I want to create secure, data-driven web applications.
